01What is True Gauge and why does it matter?

True Gauge means every cable's cross-sectional area is exactly what is declared — 1.5 sq mm is exactly 1.5 sq mm. Many manufacturers reduce the actual conductor size by 15–30% to save costs. This causes overheating, tripped breakers, and electrical fires. Nex uses laser gauging on every production line to guarantee accuracy on every single spool.

02Which cable size should I use for my application?

Use 1.0 sq mm for lighting circuits (up to 800W), 1.5 sq mm for general power points (up to 2000W), 2.5 sq mm for heavy appliances like AC/geysers (up to 3500W), and 4.0–6.0 sq mm for main feeds and industrial connections. When in doubt, call our expert helpline for a free recommendation.

03How do I verify the ISI certificate is genuine?

Visit the BIS portal at www.bis.gov.in and enter our License Number (CM/L-XXXXXX) under the "Check Certified Product" section. You can also scan the QR code printed on each spool label to instantly verify authenticity. Every Nex spool carries a unique batch code for full traceability.

04What is the minimum order for bulk purchase?

There is no minimum order for retail. For bulk/dealer pricing, the minimum is 50 spools per variant. Special discounts are available for contractors, builders, and government projects. Contact our sales team for a custom quote and we'll respond within 2 business hours.

05Do you supply custom cable lengths?

Yes. We supply custom spool lengths for project requirements — from 20m to 500m spools. Minimum order for custom lengths is 500m total. Lead time is 7–10 working days. Use the "Custom" option in the spool length selector above, or contact us directly.

06What does the 25-year warranty cover?

Our 25-year performance warranty covers insulation degradation, conductor resistance drift, and any manufacturing defects under normal installation and operating conditions. It does not cover damage from improper installation, physical abuse, or overloading beyond the rated current.

07Is Nex cable safe for concealed wiring?

Absolutely. Nex FR PVC cable is specifically designed for concealed conduit wiring as well as open surface wiring. The flame retardant insulation meets IS 694:2010 requirements and passes IEC 60332-1 flame propagation tests.

08What is the difference between FR and FRLS cable?

FR (Flame Retardant) cable self-extinguishes and resists fire propagation. FRLS (Flame Retardant Low Smoke) additionally produces minimal smoke when it does burn — ideal for enclosed spaces like hospitals and public buildings. We offer both variants.
